Hello! We’re Karin Carlson and my husband Brad, and together we run a small, home-based business just outside of Trimont, Minnesota. Our passion for quality, handmade goods has led us to combine two of our favorite things—growing fresh vegetables and creating beautiful kitchen utensils from locally sourced wood.
From Our Garden to Your Table
At our homestead, we grow a variety of vegetables, which we harvest and can into a wide range of products. We sell our homemade canned goods at local Farmers Markets and vendor shows, offering a taste of the season all year round. We take great pride in growing healthy, fresh produce and turning it into delicious, shelf-stable products for you to enjoy.
Handcrafted Kitchen Utensils
In addition to our garden products, we also craft a variety of kitchen utensils, all made by hand from high-quality, locally sourced hardwoods. Inspired by Swedish traditions, where most kitchen utensils are made from wood, we offer items such as butter knives, cutting boards, and sandwich boards. Our butter knives are perfect for spreading not just butter, but any spread you desire. Each item is carefully handcrafted, ensuring both beauty and functionality.
Durable & Beautiful Cutting Boards
We create our cutting boards and sandwich boards with durability in mind. By combining two or three complementary types of hardwood, we make boards that are not only functional but stay scratch-free longer. The rich colors and unique grain patterns of the wood make each board one-of-a-kind.
Wood Care Tips
To maintain the beauty and longevity of your wooden kitchen utensils, we treat each item with a special blend of beeswax and mineral oil. This not only brings out the natural wood grain but also helps protect the surface for long-lasting use. We recommend hand washing your wooden utensils in warm, soapy water—avoid the dishwasher to keep the wood looking its best.
If your utensils ever begin to look a little dull, simply give them a light sanding and apply butcher block oil to restore their luster.
Thank you for supporting our small business. Each item we create is a labor of love, and we are thrilled to share our passion for sustainable, handcrafted kitchen tools and homegrown produce with you.

Hello! My name is Janelle Sack, and I’m the proud owner of Hippie Goat, LLC, a thriving small business that’s been bringing joy, creativity, and goat-inspired goodness to our customers for the past nine years. Nestled in the beautiful state of Colorado, Hippie Goat is more than just a business—it’s a way of life for my family and me.
Our Unique Business Journey
Hippie Goat, LLC began as a small dream and has grown into a business that proudly showcases its products at local shops across Colorado, craft fairs, and even online. What sets us apart? It’s our incredibly unique “employees”—our five wonderful goats! These adorable and hardworking animals are not just part of our family but an integral part of our business. They inspire much of what we create and have become the face (and the heart!) of Hippie Goat.
Our goats are more than companions; they’re part of the story we share with our customers. They keep us connected to nature, encourage sustainable practices, and remind us of the importance of joy in the everyday.
Meet the Family Behind the Brand
When I’m not managing Hippie Goat, my life revolves around my amazing family. My husband and I are raising two incredible children who are both active in 4-H, where they learn the values of responsibility, hard work, and community.
Our son, Joseph, is 15 years old, and our daughter, JoJo, is 10. Both kids share our passion for animals and agriculture, spending countless hours caring for our herd and preparing for 4-H events. Watching them raise, show, and care for our Boer goats has been one of the most rewarding aspects of our lives.
Together, we also breed, sell, and show Boer goats, a venture that’s as challenging as it is fulfilling. It’s a family effort that keeps us busy and brings us closer together while also supporting the broader agricultural community in Colorado.
The Heart of Hippie Goat
At Hippie Goat, we strive to bring a touch of nature, fun, and functionality into every product we create. Whether you’ve shopped with us at a craft fair, picked up one of our items at a local store, or browsed through our online shop, you’ll find products crafted with care, love, and a little inspiration from our beloved goats.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about Hippie Goat, LLC, and the family behind it. We are so grateful for our loyal customers and the communities that continue to support our small business. We look forward to sharing more of our journey and growing alongside all of you!
Stay tuned for updates on our goats, family adventures, and new products—we promise it’s always an adventure at Hippie Goat!

I’ve always had a deep connection to working with my hands. From a young age, I’ve been drawn to creating—whether it was small arts and crafts projects, crochet, paper art, or needlework. Each project, no matter the medium, allowed me to express myself and learn new skills. The satisfaction of bringing an idea to life with my hands has always been one of my greatest joys.
Two years ago, I took a leap into the world of pottery, and it quickly became a passion that I can’t imagine living without. The moment I touched the clay, I felt an instant connection to this beautiful and versatile material. Pottery opened up a whole new world for me, with endless possibilities for creative expression. I was fascinated by the many techniques I could explore—shaping, glazing, firing, and the way each piece would turn out uniquely different, even if I followed the same steps.
As I continued to experiment with clay, I discovered how much there is to learn. The more I worked with pottery, the more I realized how much I still wanted to know. There is something magical about transforming a simple lump of clay into a functional or decorative piece, and it’s a process that never ceases to amaze me. Whether I’m crafting bowls, mugs, vases, or other pottery pieces, I’m constantly amazed by the transformation that occurs in the kiln.
I’ve spent the past two years honing my skills, experimenting with different styles, shapes, and techniques, and I am proud of how far I’ve come. Pottery offers so much room for growth and creativity, and every piece I create is a reflection of my love for this craft. I am truly excited to continue exploring the possibilities and push the boundaries of what I can create with clay.
My hope is that through my work, I can share a little piece of that passion with others. Pottery has become more than just a craft to me—it’s a form of self-expression, a way to unwind, and a medium that allows me to connect with people in a new way. Whether my pieces are gracing your home or being used daily, I hope they bring a touch of warmth and beauty to your life.
Thank you for joining me on this creative journey. I look forward to sharing my pottery creations with more people and continuing to grow as an artist.

Fred Wilson’s journey as an artist is a testament to the power of rediscovery and following one’s passions, no matter the stage of life. Born with a creative spark, Fred’s professional career in marketing and design management initially overshadowed his artistic inclinations. For much of his life, he considered his art merely a hobby—a pursuit that allowed him to express himself, but never something he envisioned turning into a full-time career. That all changed after he moved to Arizona in the 1970s.
Arizona, with its breathtaking landscapes and vibrant colors, sparked a creative awakening in Fred. Surrounded by the rugged beauty of the desert, he began to see the world through a new lens, one where painting wasn’t just an occasional escape—it became his passion. Over the years, Fred honed his craft, studying with other artists, embracing new techniques, and letting his creativity flourish in ways he had never imagined before.
By the time Fred opened his own gallery in Prescott, he had fully embraced his newfound love for art. His gallery became a space where he could showcase his work, connect with fellow artists, and immerse himself even deeper in the world of painting. After many successful years in the management and design industries, Fred retired from his business career and made the brave decision to dedicate himself entirely to his art.
What sets Fred’s work apart is his unique focus on miniature and ACEO (Art Cards, Editions, and Originals) painting. For Fred, working on such a small scale presents a thrilling challenge. He delights in how much depth and detail he can achieve within the confines of a tiny canvas. These miniature masterpieces allow him to push the boundaries of his creativity and experiment with techniques, texture, and perspective in ways that larger works simply cannot.
While the canvases may be small, Fred’s subjects are anything but. He draws inspiration from some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes and environments on Earth and beyond. From the rugged Rim Country of Northern Arizona and the majestic West Coast to the lush islands of Hawaii and the iconic landscapes of Europe, Fred captures the grandeur of nature with precision and love. His work doesn’t stop at the Earth’s edge, either. Fred has ventured into the cosmos, painting cosmic scenes filled with planets, stars, and mythic interpretations inspired by iconic films like Star Wars.
As Fred continues to evolve as an artist, his work has undergone significant transformation. He has begun to explore a new approach to his subjects—one that reflects the deeper beauty of the land and seascapes that surround us. He’s no longer focused solely on representing the world as it appears, but on expressing the impressions of color, movement, and simplicity that make nature so captivating. This shift marks a bold departure from his previous style, as Fred pushes himself to break free from his comfort zone. He has embraced a mindset of living “outside the box,” allowing his creativity to flow freely in ways he hadn’t done before.
Today, at the age of 80, Fred is still fully immersed in his art, continuing to challenge himself and grow as an artist. His journey has been a rich one, filled with discovery, reinvention, and the quiet satisfaction of finding purpose in his work. He reflects on his career with gratitude, knowing that he didn’t just find art later in life—he allowed it to reshape the course of his future.
Fred is also a proud family man, married to his wife Patricia for 61 years. Together, they have raised five children, seen their family grow with eight grandchildren, and are now blessed with a great-grandson. While Fred’s professional life has been marked by achievement, his greatest joy remains rooted in his family and the love they share.
Fred’s story is a powerful reminder that it’s never too late to follow your passions, pursue new dreams, and let creativity lead the way. Whether you’re 80 or 18, it’s never too late to start, and it’s never too late to grow. Fred Wilson’s life and work prove that sometimes, the best is yet to come.

Hi there! I’m excited to share a little about myself, my passion, and the story behind my goat milk soaps.
Growing up in the heart of Minnesota, I was surrounded by the natural beauty of open spaces and the simplicity of rural living. About ten years ago, life brought me to Washington, where I’ve been lucky enough to call this beautiful state home. Here, I’ve built a life that mirrors my love for nature and sustainability.
Our small farm is bustling with life. We care for a herd of dairy goats, a flock of chickens, a pair of geese, and, of course, our beloved dogs and cats. Alongside our animals, we tend to a huge garden that supplies fresh, wholesome produce and keeps us connected to the land.
Crafting Goat Milk Soap: A Tradition 25 Years in the Making
Over 25 years ago, I began experimenting with soapmaking. My goal was simple: to create a recipe that would harness the natural goodness of goat milk while being gentle and nourishing for the skin. After much trial and error, I developed my master recipe and perfected a technique that ensures each bar is packed with as much goat milk as possible.
Goat milk isn’t just a luxurious ingredient—it’s a skincare powerhouse. Naturally exfoliating, it contains alpha-hydroxy acids that help slough off dead skin cells, revealing smoother, brighter skin underneath. It’s also rich in vitamins A and D, which are essential for maintaining healthy, hydrated skin.
A Commitment to Natural Ingredients
Every bar of soap I create starts with goat milk as the first ingredient—it’s the heart of my recipe. I believe in the power of nature, so all the colors in my soaps come from natural sources, and I use only essential oils and natural fragrance oils to create their delightful scents.
From earthy and fresh to warm and festive, each bar is crafted with care, inspired by the beauty of the outdoors and the joy of everyday moments.
My Hope for You
When you use one of my soaps, I hope it feels like more than just a cleansing experience. I hope it connects you to nature, nourishes your skin, and brings a little extra joy to your day. Every bar is a labor of love, crafted with intention and care.
Thank you for supporting my journey and for letting me share a piece of it with you. I can’t wait for you to experience the benefits of goat milk soap and fall in love with it just as much as I have.

Art has always had the power to heal, transform, and inspire—and for Deron Kochis, it has been all of these and more. Presented under the name Nored by Deron LLC, Deron’s artistic journey began in the most unexpected of places: a children’s hospital. As a young boy, he learned to write his name during his stay, playfully reversing the letters to create “Nored.” This unique name now represents not only his art but the resilience and creativity that have shaped his life.
Deron’s story is one of self-discovery and transformation. Growing up in a small town, he always felt a connection to art. However, it wasn’t until he faced personal struggles that he turned to creating as a form of therapy. Pouring his emotions onto the canvas, Deron found solace in the process, discovering that art was not just a refuge but an integral part of his identity.
Over time, what began as a therapeutic outlet has blossomed into a lifelong passion and career. Deron’s style, rooted in abstract expressionism, is characterized by bold colors, intricate textures, and dynamic compositions. Each piece is a reflection of his inner world—thoughts, feelings, and experiences—translated into vivid visual narratives.
What sets Deron apart is his innovative use of multi-medium techniques. By blending painting, collage, and mixed media, he creates striking, layered works that invite the viewer into his unique perspective. This experimental approach allows him to push the boundaries of traditional art forms, resulting in creations that are both captivating and thought-provoking.
Themes of identity, transformation, and introspection are central to Deron’s work, mirroring his personal journey. Each piece is a testament to his growth, resilience, and evolving artistic voice—a reminder of art’s profound ability to heal and inspire.
Through Nored by Deron LLC, Deron invites viewers to connect with his art on a personal level, finding their own stories within the abstract forms. As he continues to refine his craft and delve deeper into the world of abstract expressionism, Deron remains dedicated to sharing his journey with the world, one piece at a time.
Follow along as Deron Kochis continues to explore, create, and inspire through his art. Nored is not just a name; it’s a story—a testament to the beauty of resilience and the transformative power of creativity.
